Finally picked up my XPA-3. I was totally impressed. Tons of power, very clean. My Infinity speakers were pounding today! Sure the neighbors hate me. Couldn't be happier.

Congratulations! And welcome. I had very similar Infinity speakers in my surround rig. I upgraded to Emotivas and that made a wonderful difference! Just planting a seed. 8)

Congrats and welcome to the Lounge. The XPA-5 was my first piece of Emo gear and I was hooked.

drtrey3, Did you actually have the Infinity RS 10's?? These speakers are now 10 years old, but man, the sound they reproduce is awesome. Do you have the Emo center channel too? I actually looked at that center channel before I bought the Polk. My only concern with the Emo was the sensitivity rating of 87dB.

Heu lugnut, I had Infinity Betas all around. The ones with the aluminum tweeter. They are very similar to your surrounds. I do have the 6.2 center channel and it works great. The thing I learned with the upgrade was that matching speakers upgraded my surround listening significantly, it upped the amount of time I listen to surround music a lot because the experience was more engrossing.
The Emo speakers love some power, but my Denon receiver drives them adequately. Adequately for now. 8)
