Any fellow geeks seen this yet?
Would you pay a premium to boot directly from any OS install disk? (basically built in modules to directly support OSX's boot.efi)

I'd be more interested if they (also) had an AMD version and more full size PCI-e slots.

Interesting.....
Do bear in mind, though, that this isn't that big a deal. Since Apples now run on the Intel platform, you can run Apple O/S on most any modern Intel motherboard with a few mods. Just Google "Hackintosh" if you want to see details of how to do that with standard Intel hardware. What they've done is to pick out things, like the Thunderbolt port and graphics card, and verify that they will work properly together (hopefully). This saves you figuring out which pieces to buy and put together. (I suspect, however, that you still might have to "convince" the Apple O/S to run on it, since it is not an Apple-branded piece of hardware.)
I would say it's handy that they've (again, presumably) done all the work and made sure that all the pieces work properly together, and will work with the Mac O/S, and it isn't terribly expensive, and it IS being OEMed by a reputable brand, so it's probably a pretty good deal overall.
In the context of AUDIO, however, I'm not sure I see the point. If you already own an Apple (and like it), then you're using Apple's O/S for your audio needs, and you can run Windows through Bootcamp if you want to. If you already own (and like) a PC, then you probably don't especially want to run an Apple. I don't see any particular advantage of being able to run both rather than settle on one or the other and concentrate on getting it to run well with USB audio. (In other words, FOR AUDIO, I don't see any specific advantage of being "dual platform". I prefer PC, because it is more flexible, and you have lots more choices, but either platform, by itself, is quite sufficient for digital audio.)
As a computer product, however, it seems cool.... and probably worth it. (In that context, I would give it a "thumbs-up"... )

I'd be more interested if they (also) had an AMD version and more full size PCI-e slots. Ever since Lion support for AMD has been virtually MIA. It's the OSX kernel. You need a hacked legacy kernel to run AMD. If you want to know more see this article. www.macbreaker.com/2012/01/look-at-state-of-amd-hackintoshing.htmlThese intel boards just modify the boot efi and the built in OSX kernel just works as is.
