April 1, 2013 So, like I'm in the middle of our 'Fun Room' renovation this weekend and my eldest son's friends were coming over and I thought it's a great opportunity to conduct a listening test. The goal is to hear differences, if there is any, using different materials to lift speaker wires. Speaker Wire - Hyperlitz Speaker Cable (Type 4) made by Audioquest Gears used: OPPO BDP-103 Emotiva UPA-5 Polk Lsi15 Golden Gate RCA cable made by Audioquest As you can see in the picture, the wires are clearly marked. The RCA has arrows and the Speaker wires have labels. These markers/labels made sure our connections were accurate as possible. The OPPO is directly connected to the Amp.

lol! Something tells me the 3rd setup will sound the most "organic."

Conclusion:
YES! We definitely heard differences. We were also able to identify each setup 100% every time!
Each setup has it's own strength:
- Setup number one is playful, full of energy. Rock and Pop will definitely match this one. -Setup number two is elegant, demure but classy and refined. Matches Sinatra, Diana Krall and the likes. - Setup number three for me is the best. It's natural, organic, always a breath of fresh air sensation. No listener's fatigue whatsoever. You can play any genre and the system adapts, listening makes you alive.
I'M A BELIEVER!

Well my two cents is that I'd run with the first setup.

In the 3rd setup, you need to lower the right speaker wire a bit. Making the electrons travel further uphill will slow the flow making it necessary to move the speaker closer and ruining the triangle. Trust me. I've been there.

Making the electrons travel further uphill will slow the flow making it necessary to move the speaker closer and ruining the triangle. Trust me. I've been there. Maybe you meant the LEFT wire is a bit higher. You may have a point there but trust me, we tried as hard as we can to make it symmetrical all the way. The difference in height has been compensated by the size of the plants' maturity (the one on the right has more greens closer to the ground).

Well, I was standing behind the speakers when I noticed the discrepancy. But yes, you right. It's the left wire.

You know my wife has been smuggling a whole closet full of these speaker lifters.
After reading this I confronted her. All she had to say for herself is If it would make me feel better she would sell them back to all of the audiophiles on here for half of what she paid for them.
I think she said something like $200.00 a piece. So if any one is interested in them just send me a PM and I will send them right out. Oh, I do take Visa Discover or Master card.
