Hi Everyone.
Just saying hello. I'm from NZ but living in Australia as I have an Australian wife and she can't cope with the weather in NZ.
Am about to buy some Emotiva gear so thought I'd post some questions and search through the info on the boards here.
I came across the Emotiva brand whilst on the stereo.net.au forums. In fact it prompted me to sell my HT gear and look to purchase. Only issue now is finding the right speakers to match.
Have been in the listening game for 16ish years now, working in a hifi shop when younger gave me the bug and showed me what real music and then home theater sounded like.
Take care "y'all" lol ;D

Greetings mate, welcome to the madhouse! We have several members from Aus here. Perhaps if you post the gear you have and your listening preferences we can help out with recos. For starters, are you looking for monitors or floor-standers? What kind of listening environment? (family room or purpose-built music room) etc... You can also include your gear in your signature - that'll avoid people asking you repeatedly on those topics. So, please include some details and we'll be glad to comment. Fair dinkum? ;D

Hello there! No idea what your budget or requirements for speakers are but here's a nice one: www.tektondesign.com/ especially the pendragon. The pendragon also has an entire complementary line with subs (costs more) I'm sure others have suggestions too. Also Epik and rythmik make nice subwoofers

Wow thanks for the warm welcome guys, tena koutou Wizard.
Interesting suggestion Garbulky, I emailed Eric last night. Waiting on shipping prices. Looking at 5x Paradragon floor standers and a center, no sub for starters. All depends on warranty, shipping etc. Other choice was the SVS ultra surround range with the ultra13 sub and towers as they are distributed right here in OZ with warranty back up. But think the SVS towers will refrac something serious due to room placement.
Emotiva purchases will likely be UMC-200 and XPA-5. For starters. A UDA-2 may also be on the cards for headphones. Would be great if a company (HINT,HINT) built an all in one Lightning connector (Iphone5) dock with built in DAC and headphone amp. I would buy 2 right now.
LOL "fair dinkum". I remember the first time I heard an aussie say that, a true gentelman who could not understand why I nearly wet my pants laughing at him. Buying him lunch made up for it.
