For those that have multiple XPR combinations (in my case, a newly acquired XPR-2 and XPR-5), do you find that the accent lighting tint is different? I've attached a photo, and this is VERY exaggerated...it's actually not as dramatic as the pic makes it look, but it's definitely noticeable. Didn't realize how out of focus it was until I just pulled it from my phone, sorry. But you get the idea. In my case, the XPR-5 is a much more purple in color, and the XPR-2 is the traditional blue that we're used to. Anyone else have the same experience? I'd hate to send one back for this, and if I'm not the only one, I can live with it. These amps are AWESOME btw. Attachments:

This is a very common problem.
Everything i've owned from Emotiva has never been the same blue. The power "E" button, the indicator LEDs on the amps or even the display on my XSP-1's.

I must admit that I haven't actually paid much attention to the different shades of lighting, mainly since I turn it off. I do leave the channel indicators on though, but now that I've looked closer the shades are a little different. XPR-2 is definitely blue and the XPR-5 has a blue with a hint of purple.

Actually OP, the lighting is the same. Your right eye perceives the color differently.

I have noticed the lighting/color difference on the power buttons of my UMC-1 and the different amps. I am curious if anyone knows if the accent lights on the XPR amps caused by a filter or a blue LED chip(s). I buy LED, would it be possible to make a mod and change the LED bulbs to red, or purple, or cool white? I'm guessing it make void our warranty, but something that crossed my mind when thinking of ways to try and get everything to match.

There's a secret combination of codes that will make it light up to the exact colors and tempo of Saturday Night Fever.

I have one power button that is brighter than the others but everything seems to be the same shade.

Hi guys, We specify LED's from one supplier for all models. We do not substitute types between models. Are your LED brightness levels matched? cheers, Dan

UMC-1, UPA-2, UPA-7 All brightness levels are different. Not a big thing but they are different. The UMC-1 is the dimmest of the 3. However the amber in standby is exactly the same on all 3 units. Not a biggy, but the amber (standby) is different on my UMC-200 to the USP-1 and the XPA-5.
Cheers Gary

The meters/status LEDs are the same tint.

If you observe the lights from different directions do they remain the same colour or do their tints change?

If you observe the lights from different directions do they remain the same colour or do their tints change? Viewing angle doesn't affect the difference.

There's a secret combination of codes that will make it light up to the exact colors and tempo of Saturday Night Fever. Is that code; up, down, up down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, A? Hi guys, We specify LED's from one supplier for all models. We do not substitute types between models. Are your LED brightness levels matched? cheers, Dan If the LED chips are the same, perhaps the angle at which they are attached to the clear plastic diffusor which spreads the light around the power button may differ and thus cause a brightness difference. Or even the transparency of the clear plastic. With LED chips something like that could easily happen especially when producing different units over time and quantity.
