I just got my new set of XPR-1 amps this week. When I hooked them up one of them goes into protect mode as soon as you turn it on. I knew there was nothing wrong with any of my connections because it was working fine with my XPA-1 amp 10 minutes before that. I checked all the connections and it was all good. I have disconnected everything from the XPR-1 amp except the power plug and still as soon as you turn it on the led are a red horizontal line, then the amp clicks out and the red line flashes. I think this is probably a fuse problem like I have had in the past with my XPA-1 amps. Has any one else had this, and how did you fix it?

Well the obvious answer is call Emotiva! Yea wrong answer as it is a 3 day holiday weekend. Man that sucks. I know they will take care of you but unless one of the big guys reads the forum they won't be able to do anything to help you till next week. Has to be an internal issue that is unlikely to be user fixable.

Yes I have already sent them an email and called but like you said it is a 3 day weekend. I am hoping I get lucky and one of the emotive guys see's this and can give me some information about checking the fuses or anything I might be able to do before having to ship it back.

Check to make sure the little silver toggle switch in the back isn't stuck in the middle. This happened with my XPR-2. The switch looked like it was in balanced mode, but it was kind of in between. Flip it up and then flip it down.

Have you done any trouble shooting with this amp over the weekend?
I'd try it with ALL interconnects and speaker cable disconnected. Try it with the rear toggle switch in each position. Try it without anything connected to the triggers.
