I have been looking to upgrade to a amp with more control over the drivers and I can not believe how much more control that the XPA-2 has given me with my LSi-15's.Some serious lowend!.This amp made me a believer I have read many reviews on this amp and Not One bad one to be found on it.Joe at Emotiva gave an awesome deal on it I should have made the jump last year on this amp.The first thing I notice was how very open the sound stage is,very detailed highs are sweet.Talk about power to spare!Guys I can't thank all of you enough for posting in here on your experiences with your Emotiva amps I been a fan of Emotiva for sometime now and have made some very good friends in here.I can say this Big Dan is so right about when he said"its all about the headroom and not running out of power"Big Dan,Mr.Lonnie, and too all the Emotiva employees,I thank you Guys for your Outstanding Service. Can't wait to see what Big Dan,Mr.Lonnie and Mr.Carver has up there sleeve's oh, man this is gong to be lots of fun coming our way guys. Mike

In my experience, Polks love power and the XPA-2 can deliver it. Congrats on the new amp. Enjoy!

In my experience with Emotiva's power amplifiers, the XPA-2/XPA-5 are their best all-around deal in their line-up, the sweet spot you might say. It's great to hear you are enjoying the XPA-2.

Mike Your UPA-1 did not made them sing and XPA-2 made it all possible? If you listen to low level and moderate how XPA-2 sound any better than UPA-1? I have LSi 15 since it came out more than 10 years ago and I went from 100 a channel to nearly double the watt and listening experience I have based on low and moderate did not change. It did made an improvement on high volume but low to moderate remain the same.

It did made an improvement on high volume but low to moderate remain the same. Not in my experience. I owned these speakers with the XPA-2 about 5 months. With this amp the speakers were alive, clear and accurate. When my circumstances changed (long story) I ended up with a pair of XPA-100's powering my LSi-15's for several weeks. Even at low to moderate volume, I found the XPA-100's completely flat and not dynamic. If these amps had been powering the Polks to begin with, I wound have most likely sold the speakers. The XPA-2 handled my Polks MUCH better than the XPA-100s. It was a different experience entirely. I've since moved on to Red Dragon Audio M500's and the difference is even more striking. You can read about it here: emotivalounge.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=newgear&action=display&thread=30122...

Still like my UPA-1s and yes they do a good job of driving them. Most everyone knows that the UPA-1s do a much better job driving a 8ohm load.I didn't think the XPA-2 would have improved much over the UPA-1s but it did.UPA-1s are a very musical amp just wanted more control over the driver's and the XPA-2 is doing a really nice job of it.It just handles the 4 ohm load much better for what I wanted in two channel music for me anyways.

yeah i dont know where Big Dan wrote its all about head room but would love to read that.. I could be wrong, but I believe the quote is from a verbal conversation between Dan and another member at the Chicago road show... But I also doubt if that is the only time Dan spoke or wrote that sentiment. Many people feel the same way. Buy as much power as you can afford and never look back. ..
