I.commented in the UMC-200 update thread about the problems I had installing the new firmware and how I was a bit ticked off that this was the best we had with all the technology available today. I mean it is 2013!!!!!!
So I will now comment on the performance now that it's hooked up, calibrated with EMO-Q and we haved watched about 5 movies and I have listened to many CDs.
In the words of cgolfwife who doesn't care if she listens to TV speakers, the radio or whatever as long as she can hear it..... "We have had a lot of equipment and most of it sounded good but I have to say, this is the best I have ever heard it sound. It is significantly better. It encompasses the entire room instead of just coming out of the speakers. If you ever get an inkling to sell whatever piece of equipment that made this difference this time, you will need to contend with me!!!" ;D
That really says it all from the cgolfwife household..... And I will agree. There is a definite difference and it is the surround and encompassing sound we have!!! I ran EMOQ and made no adjustments. No reason to at this time......
