I am considering getting Stealths or Airmotivs to use with my Xfinity cable box. If I connect the speakers to the RCA outs from the cable box, can I control the speaker volume with the cable remote, or will I have to adjust the volume on the speakers?

It depends on if your cable box has volume control or not. I would assume not as this is usually reserved for integrated amps or pre-amps. More than likely you are in manual control teritory. What cable box model do you have?

From what I have seen of the companies around here, you can control the volume internally in a cable box, but not satellite. This may not apply to all areas, companies, boxes, etc...
As indy mentioned, it will really depend on your specific cable box.

I know our Motorola VIP 1200/1216 and 2202/2262 set top boxes will adjust volume internally until I program the remote to the customers TV and then of course the internal volume control is no longer active, so would depend on the set top box

Thanks for the help! I'll check with Xfinity when they install the new box.
