Have any one here pair your XPR-5 with a XPA - 5. Did they match each other. I am thinking to purchase a XPR - 5 but only use three channels for my all front speakers and use the other XPA - 5 for my sur-rounds. At the moment, I am using XPA - 2 for the fronts and the XPA - 5 for the center plus sur-rounds. Any feed back will be appreciated. Thank you

What speakers do you have? How big is your room? How loud do you listen? You may already have a pretty good solution, but we need to know your environment to confirm or make suggestions...

You could also use the XPR-5 for 5 channels (fronts and sides), and the XPA-2 for the rears. Your amp channels would then match for the most common 5.1 formats, and the difference (if any) would be difficult to detect in the rears. The power in all the channels would also be more closely matched.
