XPA-2

Well my XPA-2 made to my front door Friday morning.....so I hook up my XSP-1 and the XPA-2 to Magnepan MMGs...hit the play button on my computer......I couldn't believe how good this sounded....this first time I have really heard the MMGs ...power, dynamics, clean ,detail...the bottom end tight in control ....the top end ...wow...500 watts is no joke foe these speakers...I don't play loud...but damn this combo sounds wicked together ...now I am thinking a XDA-2....Maybe add the Magnepan DWM...... Hmmmmm

Awesome system there drumsgreg, just got my XPA-2 hooked up yesterday and while my XPA-5 was no slouch, I'm really liking the XPA-2/XPA-5 combo, currently cranking "The Tea Party" blu-ray and sounding pretty sweet.

IMHO there's absolutely no better value in all of high-end audio than the XPA-2. It can drive ANY speaker out there and sound GOOD doing it. I sold my first one after thinking that it didn't sound very dynamic with my Klipsch La Scala speakers. Come to find out that it was the DAC (that I got at about the same time as the La Scalas) that was smothering the sound. I got another XPA-2 and I'm not ever letting it go!

I'm happy to hear that your experience was the same as mine with the XPA-2. Some designer at Emotiva deserves a medal!

XPA-2 Is probably the best value for money out of all the EMOTIVA amps in my opinion....

Just heads up on my XPA-2... It's been in my system for over a week...the MMGs are just fantastic with the XSP-1 and XPA-2 combo...power , head room , clarity, bass control...I have had MMGs before, but they have never sounded this good...I am not even pushing this amp at all...it's just sounds superb with the MMGs...thank you all who recommended this amp...it's a great amp indeed! Several...David Hafler DH-500 with Musical Concept mods....Musical Designs D-140 , B&K M-200 mono blocks, DB Systems mono blocks, Rogue Audio 88. All of these amps sounded fine to me....but none of them have done the MMGs justice like the XPA-2.... I am now a believer...the XPA-2 is the sh**!

it drives my b&w 805n just fine and very detailed.
i recommend a good pre amp for this beast.
may also want to try good power cables,ic's,xlr etc
with the right cabes this amp is amazing!

I love my two XPA-2 gen I. I run them in bridge mode with my ML's, such a crazy dynamic headroom. Adding the XMC-1 to run these beasts just made the system sound even better. Enjoy your XPA-2, you will not find a better amplifier for the money.
