I got some questions for home audio


primary area, comfortable 20-40 seat theatre spec 7.2-.4 with 9.4-11.4

not sure on processoe to use

amps xpa-1 and xpa-5 combo or same in a xpr series.. debating on mono's as a complete solution for that area


lounge min of 7.x

mono might be a only choice not sure min space 5 rows of seven

bedroom 5.1 min might stretch to 7.2 not sure yet min 4-5 rooms with onsuite bath debating on phj or 60" for the rooms..

a stereo system layout around the house just for tunes

indoor pool area not sure what to use in layout for audio


types of media i'm looking is dvd/bd/cd may from a central server, debating on fibre runs for network back bone reducing copper runs where possible

I'm basically looking for enough gear for a comple av package across 8-15 areas and looking for suggestions in gear to deploy whether it be EMO, denon, onkyo, marantz, pioneer or any other brand..

i would like t money is no object though reality is tight budget to work with and not sure what i'm looking for and i suspect this is going to a sea container job for delivery.. any you can giv would be great..

Are you saying you are building a 20-40 seat theater in your home..? if so wow thats big, there are a few guys on the lounge here that could give you good advice for all those setups and you could also call Emotiva directly and speak with them on how many rooms and such you are needing equipment for, sounds as if home automation is what you are after as well...?

lol don't know of any in australia, mind you given the inflated price cheaper to buy it direct

yup 35=40 seat theatre to cater for family 10 cousins with families of their own


doesn't take to fill a full of 40 seats that's for might event consider something bigger..

sherbourn not possible at the moment since they got nadda with lan support

still debatign what to use at present...

I would like to setup a 11.x system though rather limited for processor choice and hdmi must be a min of 2-3 outputs and 7-8 inputs

What are you currently using for an amp with that USP-1 that's been sitting all sad and lonely in its box for over a year? Also, what currently has the LAN support you're looking at so that we can get a better idea of what you're wanting to do?
