Hello, I'm re-wiring my ET center and have an extra IEC power cord, don't ask how I ended up with an extra, my question is which power cord do I use with the XPA-3, I have a 14 AWG and a 18 AWG, which do I use with the XPA-3? Sorry for the dumb question, I really appreciate your help with this, thanks again. Cheers, Jeffrey

Thanks so much, seems to make sense now that I think about it. Now can you tell where the extra cord came from?

While I have you guys here I need to ask another question regarding the XPA-3, I have a dedicated 20 amp (well actually two) circuit with a Tripplite HT10DBS SS, I have another power amp and a receiver plugged into it, am I better off plugging the XPA-3 directly into wall outlet rather than into the HT10DBS of does it not matter? Thanks again. Cheers Jeffrey

If you trip the breaker on the Tripplite there should be no harm at all just a nuisance and then you can move something to the wall outlet.

Thank all of you guys for your quick and informative replies, it really helped. I tried to get as much clean power with nothing on the circiuts but my AV equipment to insure I would the reserve power I needed, I have a few subs that gobble up the juice and 3 power amps to deal with. I just ordered this from PSA and it will have it's own outlet dedicated. www.powersoundaudio.com/products/triaxThanks again for all your help, you guys are great and I will be back, haven't been here for a long time, joined up over four years ago but as you can see my post count is rather low. Have a nice day and thanks again. I will go directly into the wall with the XPA-3. Cheers Jeffrey

Emotiva recommends plugging their amps directly into the wall outlet. If you do use a surge protector make certain you use one that does not limit current. Those that do not will usually have outlets marked as "High Current" or something similar.
