I will soon be returning my XPA-2 to Emotiva for service. (right channel is no longer working). I don't have the original packaging and the service department indicated that they don't provide packaging materials. I'm looking for suggestions on the best way the ship and package the XPA-2 while avoiding any damage. Also, is there anything I should check before shipping this back. All lights work, there was no popping noise or smoke. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Did you first checked the balance unbalance input selector switch position?
After this, did you called the Emo service for a summary troubleshooting?

Thank you for the response. I did check the balanced and unbalanced switches as well as the selector switch. I also spoke to a service rep from Emotiva who also suggested checking the switches but offered no other suggestions. I did ask about the of a fuse being as issue and he said that would not be the case if one of the two channels was working. I have checked for any loose connections.
Any thoughts on packaging?

I would suggest a local pack and ship type store, it costs a bit but they usually pack thinks up very well for shipment.

Emotiva used to sell the shipping boxes. I'm surprised they stopped this. It guarantees (as much as possible) safe shipping. Are they at least offering you a shipping discount back to them? (via their shipping account)

I called Emotiva a few months ago, they have boxes for sell. Maybe you need to call them again and ask for purchasing a box from them. XPA 1s' boxes are $35/each shipped to your door when I checked about two months ago.
