War of the Worlds. The remake was one of the stupidest movies I've ever seen. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Anyway just my opinion.

Total Recall, just didn't work for me. Evil Dead, was nothing Special. The Day the Earth Stood Still, blew. Didn't love the Walking Tall remake. Clash of the Titans was weak. I actually quite enjoyed Poseidon, though I never saw the original. Wicker Man wasn't awful(or great), but again never saw the original.

I have yet to see a remake worth the price of admission. This doesn't include "reboots" of a franchise like Batman or other super hero movies.

The Day the Earth Stood Still, blew. DUDE! I thought the remake of Invasion of the Body Snatchers was very good - I like both that and the original very much. +1 Although this one also helped make it even more enjoyable.

Awful movie remakes, huh? Okay, how about: "All Quiet on the Western Front", (John-Boy Walton?! Really?!). "Flight of the Phoenix", (Seriously, can anyone chalenge Jimmy Stewart here?). "The Day the Earth Stood Still", (Reeves?, yeah,...). (Dis)Honorary mention: "The Taking of Pelham 123", (Too much 'language', too little character development). I didn't think Tom Cruise's version of "War of the Worlds" was that bad,...though Dakota Fanning is NOT one of my favorite actors...

Godzilla VII (2009) and Bambi Meets Godzilla (1969), remakes of Godzilla (1954).
Deep Throat Part II (1974), remake of Deep Throat (1972).

Of the ones on the list I have seen...Pink Panther wins number one. It may be the worst movie I have ever seen. Period.

The worst remakes I've made the unfortunate choice to view...
Psycho (1998) Vince Vaughn and Anne Heche didn't mesh at all, and poor acting.
Planet of the Apes (2001) Any movie with Mark Wahlberg should be suspect.
Get Carter (2000) Sly is no Michael Caine.
The Wicker Man (2006) The only horror is Nicholas Cage's acting.
The Italian Job (2003) Another remake debacle of a Michael Caine movie, and casting Mark Wahlberg only made it worse.
The Bad Lieutenant (2009) Harvey Kietel on his worst acting is still x100 times better than Cage.

I read an article the other day they are going to start a reboot of the Fletch movies. These I'm sure will be added to the list after it's release.

The Great and Powerful Oz.
Don't try to mess with a classic...and that includes pre-quels. (Hear me George Lucas?)

ANY cartoon to live action: (Alright, not really re-makes...just worst ideas from Hollywood) Scooby Doo, Smurfs, Yogi Bear, Garfield, George of the Jungle, Transformers, etc., etc. ..and some of these spawned sequels!!!
