So I finally received my new JH16's with adapter cable today. The amp portion is back ordered so they went ahead and sent me just the phones, which are basically JH16's. The bass out of these things are insane. The bass is humble during songs that don't call for a big bottom, but the ones that do will blow your mind. I am talking impactful tight bass not what I am use to from in-ears. The highs are plenty crisp but I feel the Audeze was actually a little crisper in the upper frequencies. While the Audeze LCD-3 is the best headphone I have ever lived with these come in number 2 to those. These come in number 1 when it comes to in-ears thought. Obviously there are a lot of benefits to these over the big open ears though. For starters in was testing them out when they arrived today while my wife played with our 9 month old 3 ft from me and I couldn't hear them at all. With the open ears (AKG-702, Audeze LCD-3) I can hear them from a seperate room. Another thing is that I can go to the gym or run with these. I wouldn't even wear the others in public lol. Anyways to keep a badly written review short I am digging the new JH's and am looking forward to hearing what they sound like out of a decent amp instead of my iphone. I wonder if the addition of a decent amp will push these past the Audeze's for me.
