You guys are forgetting the most important thing about DIY audio projects, they are so much fun to do and you learn so much from them.
I've spent 10's of thousands of dollars on so many projects over the past few years but man have I learned a lot. I don't care about the money, I care about the memories making my projects and listening to them when they are finished.

Reminds me of this guy: hacknmod.com/hack/how-to-epic-diy-living-room-speakers/He scratch built B&W Nautilus speakers. An obscene amount of work to get that right... I'd be a bigger fan, but I've seen the real B&W Nautilus in person...... It's not as extravagant as it always appears in pictures.

Guys not my video...but i have done my own www.linkwitzlab.com lx521's with emo amps...i need to update my setup on this however as its changing almost daily at the moment.

Very nice link, DIY is absolutely the most creative and fun in life. So many projects i have failed but the ones that really worked has given me so much pleasure. And so much you learn by doing yourself...
