Stumbled across these on eBay. The maker went all out on the cosmetics! Steampunk SpeakersI had never heard of Steampunk until I took the family to a Lego exhibition a few weeks ago. It is a future fantasy world where everything runs on steam and has kind of a Mad Max, Beyond Thunderdome look to it. Siggie |

Well on a show where they had one of a kind houses one was all steampunk. The owners were talking about some of the things they had made and none of the stuff was cheap. If its real steampunk stuff the shipping would be high because it should be made of all metal and heavy as hell. To bad the seller doesn't show weights because it would be interesting. Its got a cult following like some of our audio people.

He's got $130 invested in drivers for both speakers (and complete garbage ones at that) 2 old garbage cans that look like a 10 year old though it up. Although I love steampunk stuff, this isn't a good example of it IMO.

I had a "Steampunk" skin on my music player 12 years ago. Steampunk is so mainstream Rush did an whole disc about it (and a novel) last year. |
