I'm in the Twin Cities, but spent four years in Leawood, KS (a really nice SW suburb in the KC metro area). Had a good time while I was transfered there for work, but the Mrs. was homesick for snow, so...

Hello, I from good ole Newton Kansas about 180 miles southwest of Kansas City. Been an audiophile for 40 years. Finally able to purchase some Class A amplifiers " XPA-1L's" and they are awsome. Sound very open clean and airy through my Cornwall III's. Hope to hear from someone in this area. Thanks.

Thanks looking forward to some good conversations on this hobby. Interested in what you have to say about the sound of the 901's. Havent listened to them for many years. Hard to set up in the right location for them to perform???

I wish you were a bit closer. I'd love to hear some nice class a amps on some Cornwalls. I hope one day I can get some tube gear in here to try out.

I live in KC... Close to the pro stadiums. No Emotiva gear at current - but have a Sherbourn 7-350 amp, and a set of Emotiva RCA cables if that counts? JTR 228HT JTR Captivators Onkyo TX-NR1007 Epson 8350 Course I already know the original poster fairly well, and he me.

The XPA-1L's sound very good through my Cornwall's. Absolutely no effort just good clean sound. You would love the new horn's in these speakers, they are much better then the previous ones. About tube amps, I have a set of Heathkit W5A's and two ST-70's that sound good through my cornwalls but dont compare. Actually I think the Heathkits sound better then the dynaco 70's. So give tube listening a try and the class A amps too. The new tube amps are great and there's quit a choice, I think you will lean more towards the Class A. Also depending on the type of music and how loud you want to listen to them is a major deciding factor.
