Hey All,
I need some basic Phase 101 information/education. Anyone have any helpful info or links on the topic?
I have a basic understanding of phase being able to either reinforce certain frequencies or make frequencies disappear. I understand that my subs phase switch (0 or 180) would invert the sound waves produced when toggling between the settings. I would like more information on:
1) Is there a reliable and encouraged way to affect or address phase issues by adjusting subwoofer placement relative to the mains?
2) Are the "distance" settings in speaker setup menus designed to address phase issues, or something else?
3) Other than a switch on the back of a subwoofer, are there other ways to adjust or fine tune phase?
4) Would a subwoofer that has a "phase dial" be superior to one with a 0/180 rocker switch when it comes to correctly dialing in phase? (seems like a dumb question, but hey, I'm in the newbie zone!)
