Hi All,
I have looked to no end to find a perfect fit to my 3.1 and pulled the trigger on the UMC-200 for my solution but have not received it yet and wanted to get some confirmation.
I am open to any and all suggestions and help is greatly appreciated!
My List of questions are:
How great is the DAC for 2 ch listening to from a digital source like Pandora one? Room correction for 2 ch, I have heard a lot of not great stuff on the EMO-Q Help? How would you rate 3-D &1080p upscale Quality?
My current set up is Emo XPA-2 B&W 805S LG 60" 3D QUESTION UMC-200???

The UMC-200 is quite a nice unit for 2 channel listening and gives you options as far as direct, stereo (with sub) or party mode.
There has been a lot of mixed reviews on the Emo-Q. I recommend you try it out and let your ears decide. If it doesn't work out, you can configure the unit manually.
The 3-D and upscaling is going to be dependent on your other equipment as the UMC-200 isn't processing the video signal.

I do not think the UMC-200 is overkill for a 3.1 setup. The 2ch sound has been reported as being very good not only here but in professional reviews. IMO the PEQs alone is worth the price of admission. Using a XPA-3 with that?

Hi!!
I have a question or 2 about the UMC 200-
1)with an analog input can one set it to give a multichannel out put as seen in many main stream integrated receivers. 2)How would the sound be processed If the fronts were powered by UMC200-Usp1 - Power Amp.
pls Advise-

Yes 2. I assume you have the USP-1 in Bypass mode, in which case it's the same answer as #1 above, yes. OR 2. If you don't have the USP-1 in Bypass mode, then the source must be connected to the USP-1, which does the 2.1 output Cheers Gary
