I got THE SR-120 on clearance sale while it was available. I had it sitting for over 2 weeks unboxed at house, before I unboxed it tonight and set it up, to replace my SR-8100.
Same connections, same speakers, same everything as with the SR-8100. Plugged it and turned it one. The OPPO 103 picture was beautiful on my screen as well as my Apple tv and direct tv.
However NO SOUNDS!, NO BLUE LIGHTS IN FRONT PANNEL.
I checked the "Amp defeat" button: was UP AND ON and green light is on, which according to the manual means the Amplifier section is working. I unplugged it, re plugged it, tried all I know, scratched my head and cussed a little,...Nothing worked. I tried every input I have, I just get a beautiful picture but no sound!!! ( EXCEPT FOR THE POWERED SUBS) I have a UMC-1 AND IT IS THE EXACT SAME SET UP, SO I AM NOT A NEWBIE.
CAN ANY BODY PLEASE CHIME IN AND ADVISE.
I hate to say I bought a brand new Sherborn and it was DOA. I know it has warranty and all, but having to set it up, unboxing and lifting all 80 lbs of it is exhausting. I hope some one can point out something I 'm missing.

There is a switch on the back that turns the power amps on and off. Is it switched off?

I did call and spoke with Mike and Nick. We tried few things, to no avail. They took it back, for inspection. Can't say enough about the kindness and custom service excellence with the Emotiva people, just Outstanding !. Hopefully someone just forgot to connect the amp section!
