I just recently bought a UMC-200 and have a TiVo that I love the remote to. Emotiva isn't in the list of available codes for controlling volume and mute. Is there another manufacturer that uses the same codes? I'm not seeing an option to manually program the TiVo remote but maybe I'm missing it. Anyone else love the TiVo remote and had some success?

Stumbled across your post looking for the same thing...had my 200 for a while, recently had to send it in for service and swapped in my UMC-1...I had forgotten I had the peanut set up to control it, and can't recall how I did it...thinking it WAS by entering the code for another manufacturer, though... --Ed

I do not have the UMC, but I just configured the XMC-1 to work with my "learning" Tivo remote. It took several tries (volume down was the biggest prob).
Tivo remotes lack the Emotiva manufacturer codes in the remote's database, hence there is no entry into a legit Emo code. Since the EDmo 7 digit codes are different from other processors, there is no "substitute" (or look alike) possible.
Bottom line: Buy a Tivo learning remote and invest in the time to properly teach it ...it will eventually work. (try short button presses, versus longer button hold downs for the vol up/down learning).

I have the TiVo slide (the original one not the pro) that has learning abilities. I have found the best results of holding the button down until the TiVo remote responds by blinking its amber light. I also learned the input button to input next for my XMC-1. This way I can switch sources easily. I was able to get the learning remote to work on both my UMC-200 as well as my XMC-1. This way I can switch sources easily.
For my harmony One learning remote quick button presses work much better.
Instructions from Tivo on how to program the learning remotes:

Anyone able to program their Comcast remote (voice activated model) to work with the UMC-200? The Emo codes suggested by Comcast are not accepted by the remote.
