I have a turntable now to play vinyl. Turntable is connected to my USP-1 preamp phono inputs. Now I need to connect the USP-1 to my Marantz SR5005 receiver which is where the speakers are connected. I would appreciate it very much if someone could tell me which inputs to use on the USP-1. Using the HT inputs give no sound.
All help will be greatly appreciated!!

Did you try the full range outputs on the usp-1 to your pre-amp inputs on your reciever yet? you will have to connect from usp-1 to reciever via outputs from usp-1.

You should be going IN to the USP phono inputs and OUT from the USP-1. Try the full range outputs and make sure the HT bypass is off. Connect them to a line level input on the Marantz. Be aware you will have two volume controls when listening to vinyl and you might want to start with the USP volume all the way down with the Marantz at some normal level. Then gradually increase the USP volume till you get the desired level.

Hi 4Play, Waitaminute, what happened to the UPA-1s? Why are the speakers connected to the Marantz? Can you give us a high-level view of how your system is connected together right now? When we last talked in your previous thread, your system was like this: Denon DNP-720AE (analog out) > USP-1 > UPA-1 x2 We removed the Marantz AVR from the system since it did not serve any real purpose. It was a music only system, and the Denon streamer was connected to the Marantz via analog anyway. Plus, you did not have a subwoofer, so we utilized the full-range outputs on the USP-1.

Make sure usp-1 is set to phono input. Try connecting full range output of usp-1 to lets say vcr input of reciever. Make sure reciever is set to vcr . Follow geebos recomendations on volume control. Thats all i got. Good luck.

Well, I have sound now but temporarily. Going from USP-1 into Marantz CD input. This is temporarily because it could fry the CD input ports. Once I get one of my UPA-1 amps back from warranty work, which he said would take two to three weeks.
Thank you all for your assistance. This is exactly what a forum should do for one another whenever one needs help.
You guys rock!!!

Glad to hear it's working now. Hopefully the warranty work can be completed quickly and you can get back to the music.
