#1, Front stage in the corners, but a couple of feet from the side walls works the best in my room. Subwoofer placement is so crucial in all rooms.

That is a nice article. Just got another sub myself. This will help out. One question about wiring the subs. Do both the rca's need to be the same length? For example my one sub is close to the reciever and has a 6 foot cable with splitter to it. Can I connect the splitter to a 15 foot rca to the other sub without worrying about the signal getting there at the same time? Or should I go in between the 2 subs and split it that way evenly? Or get 2 15 ft. rca's and connect them both the same way?

I have mine set as described in the number 2 option (1/3 points, flanking the center speaker). This was really the only option in my rectangular room, as the left side of the room up front is not closed it. It works pretty well.

Mine is underneath the center speaker.. best place for it after much experimenting including a lot of knee-crawling. When I get a second sub, I'll have to do it all again.

When you get a second subwoofer, we won't be seeing you as much on the Lounge because your movie viewing will be going up and you'll be explaining to your neighbors the specifics of your local noise ordinance!
