Just wired up my new xpa-2/xsp-1 gear to my Goldenear Triton 2's. A little stark right out of the box on day 1, so I ran looped pink noise all day and night through an old pair of Stax SR44 electret headphones hooked directly into the speaker outputs. I only had an hour last night for any critical listening, but I could hear things were starting to smooth out nicely. I listened to Holst's "The Planets" and was extremely pleased with what I was hearing....huge sound stage, 3D imaging, shimmering highs and very extended and tightly "moored" bass. I easily heard things I wasn't hearing through my McIntosh separates. The Emotiva separates had a slightly more forward quality and I am completely in love them! I am 58 and told my wife this could be the last electronics I ever purchase, and I believe I can finally keep that promise. Time to mine my cd/lp collection...time for some hard rock!!

Glad to hear that you like it!
The XSP-1 combined with a good amp is pretty powerful. The Triton 2s are great sounding speakers too.

Beautiful! I have the same pre power combo as you except I'm connecting it to my Piega Coax 30. Love the sound of it as well. I've heard accuphase with my speakers. Although truthfully it sounds alot warmer but overall I am satisfied with my xpa2xsp1 as u r. enjoy!
