I recently purchased an XPA-5 and a UMC-200. Can I stack the UMC on top of the XPA? Or vice-versa? I'm concerned about airflow and cooling of course. If I can't stack I'll have to buy a new media shelf that's why I'm asking.
Thanks in advance.

The XPA-5 is a heavy beast, so I wouldn't stack it on top of the UMC-200. If you can place something on top of the amp and allow it some breathing space, you can stack the UMC on top of it.

As per hemster put the UMC on top of the XPA amp with some kind of spacer for airflow, depending on how much space you have inside that shelf. A low-end method would be to use something like two short pieces of 1x1 lumber to use as spacers, which would be situated under the feet of the UMC. At a hardware store you might be able to find some extra (black) feet/spacers to attach/glue to the UMC's feet to give it more height.

There is an inexpensive product you can buy at the Big box DIY stores that will work nicely. They are called Work Bench Cookies. They are made by a few different companies and run between $10-15 for four. They are ABSOLUTELY PERFECT for adding a little space under equipment. I am currently experimenting with them for spacer/isolator so for bookshelf speakers. Just my 0.02 cents.

I went with the bench pucks. Got a set of 4 from Home Depot for $10. Spray painted them black, good to go.
