I have been using an open baffle sub for a while now and I am really pleased with it. I recently acquired some Magnepan MMG's from Pdaddy (Thanks!) and would like to build another sub(s) to go with them. There are several mods for the MMG and a simple one is to raise them up off the ground. I figured it would be a good idea to build an OB under each MMG to raise it up and save some floor space. In order to do this I have a few requirements.
No larger than a 12" sub Single sub under each MMG Driven by an amp with about 100W Low cost drivers Ideally a simple H or U frame
What do you guys suggest?

I would check out Hawthorne's Augies for the speaker. I know someone that used them in conjunction with MMG's and loves it. I used them in my own open-baffle design and use a UPA-200 amp with a active cross-over, however you could use a plate amp. Check out my DIY: emotivalounge.proboards.com/thread/24562/speaker-building-journeyAlso here is a link to Hawthorne - they have an active forms as well. hawthorneaudio.us/
