How many watts need to be used for meter to go up? Since i have had the led has not budged. And yes the meter switched to on.

I don't know that there is a defined wattage.
For some, they've reported almost no activity. I thought that my meters weren't working (sensitive speakers), but once you crank it up, they should move...
I believe that they made the XPR meters more sensitive, to try to get more action than the XPA-1 meters.

I was just wondering thats all : Thanks for the response You're not going to like the answer, but if you crank that 500 watt monoblock up to the point that you can hear the woofer in that bookshelf speaker slamming into the end of its excursion limit, you should be able to have some dancing lights.

I am using a B&W N801 and I am able to move the led to half way on certain bass track example fourplay CD. Loud but not ear shattering level stil within comfort zone.

They dance at volume. Something my friends and I noticed is that even at high volume, with well recorded music, you can have a conversation without yelling because there is no distortion with the XPR-1 amps. At first we thought it strange, but it's true.
