Does anyone have experience driving Martin Logan's with the XPR series amps? I just purchased a new pair of Martin Logan's the Summit X and I'm looking for a good amp to drive them with. The Summit X drops to 0.7 ohm at 20K, will the XPR-2 handle this load at that frequency? At the store they were driving the Summit's with McIntosh, I heard them with three different McIntosh amps and the best was the MC601 which is a pair of large mono blocks which cost the same as the speakers, and I just really can't put that much money into amps at his time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You can not go wrong with the XPR-2 if you can swing your way to the 1's your in for a treat. While the Mc's are a thing of beauty I can't justify it's cost. Either way you XPR-2 or 1's I'm sure you will be very pleased. Noticed it's your first post welcome.
