Very impressed with the new xpa-5! Highly recommend the upgrade if you do any sort of critical listening. I know I have very efficient speakers, but I am hearing a whole new level of detail and imaging! Nicely done Emotiva!
Cheers!

Good to hear. I'm on the fence for a Gen2 xpa-5.
I really would like to see all of the differences detailed out between Gen1 and Gen2 amps. Just wish it will eventually come out before all remaining Gen1's are sold.

Just wish it will eventually come out before all remaining Gen1's are sold. I am this camp as well. My original XPA-5 (the genesis amp as I call it that started it all those years ago) is still going strong. No issues or complaints. I absolutely adore my XPR-1s and I know the Mirage M3-si do too (they have told me so... ). As stated in a previous thread, I like the idea of an XPR-3, or may simply add the XPR-5 someday. It's not a burning itch, just something down the road to consider. Then there's the gen 2 XPA-5.... hmmmmmm As a side bar and previous owner of the XPA-1s, if the ones on sale at Emotiva are the XPA-1s gen 1,...wow what a price. That is a stupid good deal for anyone considering venturing into the mono block neighborhood. Salud!

Glad to hear you are rocking on a new sonic plateau!

Thank you! Part of the reason for the change was to make room so that at some point I can add a pair of the 1l's I am still waiting to upgrade my processor... I love the new design of the XPR line but the power is over kill for my speakers IMO.
