New Gen2 XPA5 rack ears not the same?

I bought one of the new XPA5's a couple weeks ago, I also bought the rack ears for it to mount in my MA rack. I am wondering why the rack ears dont line up to the top of the amp properly? I just picked up a UPA700 yesterday with the correponding rack ears, and when I mounted them on it, they were flush with the top and bottom of the amp. But the XPA5 has almost a quarter inch gap on the top, and probably close to 1/8 gap on the bottom. Ive included some pics, hopefully they arent huge (dont mind the wall studding, room isnt done yet)

Just to confirm - you bought a set of URL-4 rack ears for X-Series GEN2 amps, not URE-4 rack ears for X-Series amplifiers, correct?

Not sure the older ones would fit, but curious.

Thats what the problem is then, I looked at the box in the basement they are URE4's. I ordered the wrong ears

I've been there before myself. I am sure Emotiva will swap them out for you. At least it's sorted.

Speaking of rack ears, does anybody have any pics of what they support the back of their amps with in their racks? Maybe I'm just paranoid but that seems like an awful lot of weight to be hanging just on the front of the rack ears. Did anybody get support brackets for the backs of their amps? My rack is the Slim5-37-26, its 26 inches deep so the rack ears dont make it all the way to the back of the rack frame.
Pics or opinions would be much appreciated!
