Ok it finally available. But does it have 32 db of gain or 29 db. almost the same weight of xpa-2 gen 2 but exactly twice power output. it makes me think that the new xpa-1 is the mono version of xpa-2 gen 2 with bias setting switch

Interesting that the side bar still says 32db gain. If you go to the test report it says this:
Level Ch1 638.5 W Gain Ch1 29.962 dB
Quite a bit more than 500 watts at 8 ohms, and a bit more gain than 29.

There's also a spelling error where they cut and pasted from the XPA-2 gen 2 description. "The previous XPA-2 has been called “a beast, a monster, an abominable snowman on steroids.” Now, the XPA-2 Gen 2 has been sent to finishing school. It’s your conduit to the pure power and majesty of music and movies—distilled into a beautifully designed and precision-crafted 73-lb powerhouse." (They use the words "XPA-2" when it should read XPA-1.)
Also in the "gallery" page of the amps it still reads 500 w mono where it should read 600 watts.
For better marketing I feel the 60 watts class A need to be highlighted included on the side panel. This is the main new feature of the new amp. People don't always read the long description but will more likely look at the summary page.

Nice to see it finally released. I'm glad that the cosmetics are so much like Gen-1, so a Gen-2 XPA-1 sitting next to a Gen-1 won't look that different, other than trim (which should be changeable) Will be interesting to see who the first person is to say "It runs hot"
