does anyone know if the erc-3 play high resolution sacd -----redbook Morning - the ERC-3 does not play DSD or SACD music. See cut and paste from website below: Features

This is an improvement from the ERC-2 that would not play all Red Book layer SACDs (something the ERC-1 would do).

So if I were to purchase the "come away with me" sacd from Norah Jones on amazon will the erc-3 play it?

So if I were to purchase the "come away with me" sacd from Norah Jones on amazon will the erc-3 play it? Someone feel free to correct me but i believe the ERC-3 will nlt be able to play the SACD encoded data as it is not an SACD player. That said, if there is any redbook (regular CD) info on the disc it should be able to read/play that info. |

I just got a ERC-3 and so far have not found a hybrid SACD that it won't play. All the ones that I could not get the ERC-2 to play have played fine on my ERC-3.

I just got a ERC-3 and so far have not found a hybrid SACD that it won't play. All the ones that I could not get the ERC-2 to play have played fine on my ERC-3. Did you get the CD-R from Emo to correct that issue on the ERC-2? Never bought the ERC-2 but trialed it twice at Emotiva and discussed with Lonnie. Apparently I have SACDs whose hybrid layer is not supported by the ERC-2 (but was for the 1 and 3). |
