I'm just starting to explore the use of JRiver Media Center installed on a laptop HDMI'd to my UMC-200. Is there some trick to ripping multi-channel DVD-A's and SACD's? I've tried ripping one SACD which had both a multichannel layer and a 2 channel CD layer...and all I got was 2 channels. I'm not really interested in DSD for SACD's...but will get interested real quick if that's the only way to accomplish this for the SACD format. Thanks in advance!

When you say you were able to rip the 2 channel portion I am thinking you mean the Cd layer not the SACD layer. From my understanding the only way to currently rip the SACD layer is to do it with an older PS3 running firmware 3.55. If you know of a way besides this I would love to know. Also I am fairly sure that the only way to play SACD without it being converted to PCM via HDMI is with a ps3. This included the oppo's which convert SACD's to PCM unless using the analog outs.
