I currently have an LPA-1 and am planning on upgrading to a Polk RTia9 setup with CSia6 and Fxia6 plus a new sub (SVS SB-12ND). I know the Rtia9 speakers are going to need more power but want to make the most logical amp upgrade and if possible use the LPA-1 and Biamp where necesssary. I'm contemplating using an XPA-2 for the Fronts (Rtia9) and then integrating the LPA-1 for all others. My logic is to use two channels of 125w from the LPA-1 to drive the center biamped. Actually, I don't know how to do it and could use some suggestions. It would be nice if somehow I can get enough power for the Rtia set with my existing LPA-1 and buy an XPA-2. It would be sweet to use some of the unused power from the LPA-1 to drive the Rtia9 set. Before I complicate this further I'll wait for a response. Thanks in advance for your time and support!

Your best move in this case would be to go with the XPA-2. If you really wanted to round out the system you could also pick up an XPA-3. That should give you plenty of power, but also puts the hurt on the checkbook.
Bi-amping with the setup you have won't likely gain that much for you since you are still pulling power from a single power supply that is in the LPA-1.

I intend on grabbing an XPA-2 but budget limitations at this time will only allow for making due with the LPA-1 for the time being. Possibly an XPA-100 for the center. thanks for the feedback!

[GrammarPolice] Why is the LPA-1 due? Sorry I couldn't resist. You mean "making do" not "making due" or "making dew"! [/GrammarPolice]
