I am in the process of slowly upgrading my ht from an onkyo 805 and an onkyo speaker kit to higher quality/new components and I'm having trouble figuring out how to hook up my TiVo premiere to my Xbox one. My receiver is finally going out to pasture so for a few months I'm just going to be using some powered speakers and have no receiver.
My hook up to my Samsung tv, with 2 hdmi inputs is really perplexing me. I have 3 hdmi components, the TiVo, Xbox, and an Apple TV. I'd like to run the TiVo hdmi out both to my tv directly and to the xbox one hdmi input, I think I am just missing something because I can not figure out how to split the TiVo hdmi output in to 2 signals, rather than just one. I have a few hdmi switches, one of which I'll use going in to my tv so I can hook up the third hdmi device, but I think I need an output splitter which I'm not familiar with. Is the output splitter my only option?
All of the splitters that I have seem to work only to accept multiple inputs, then I chose which one is actually passing a signal on to the tv input, rather than splitting the output simultaneously. Thanks for any advice in advance.
