Good stuff them traps! What do you need a table saw for, why not a power miter-box. It will cut straight but will not rip wood. You better make another trap,,, 13 is not a lucky number.

.......... I've even used old bed sheets as temporary, cheap covering .......... Gary Gary, what brand of laundry detergent do you use to get the stains out of the old bed sheets?

Is the center dialog extra clear? If it tends to sound slightly heavy at all you might consider moving it out from the wall for cleaner and more defined vocal sound. Consider placing it on a stand so that the front of the center speaker is about equal to the front of the sub. That way the LCR speakers will all be equal distance (in a gentle arc) to the listener's sweat spot. If you do a test tone cycle test from your pre-pro you might find that the L&R sound significantly different than the center (maybe not). They should be very close in sound (voicing/timbre) for an ideal LCR sound pan. The center that close to the wall might audibly change its sound character versus that of the L&R. Just some friendly food for thought and suggestion as I have nothing better to do until my bedtime.

Did it take you a month and a half to think up that question Chuckie? In Australia we have a product called Napisan. Americans probably won't understand that, but the cane toads will love it. Cheers Gary

Creimes, Love the panels on the side wall and above the couch! Now you need to speak to my wife and convince her we need room treatments, too! Do you notice improvements right from the start or is it something more subtle you have to listen for?

Gary, you're a bad, bad man to stir a Queen-slander like that......may your mains power turn to flea farts and your cables to linguini.

Chuck, thanks for the tip, I have thought about doing that even before I installed that shelf, but the way my daughter and/or pets cruze around I am quite nervous about it haha, and I do in fact notice dialogue to be a little harder to hear or make out at times but I'm just not sure I wanna risk my $800 center speaker to be out in the open, it is a sealed speaker at least so now worries about port issues and that, I'll have to see if I can maybe get a stand like that and bring it even half way out.... Chad

think jlafrenz had a thread on building stands somewhere.. they look good..
nice panels...
try putting a panel on the floor in front of the centre channel at the 1st reflection point..
