I´m missing a strong 7 channel amp for a good price, XPA-7 Gen 2 Amp. 7 x 200 watt 8 ohm 7 x 300 watt 4 ohm.
I think that the UPA-7 series did not sell enough units for the lack of power that you get from the XPA series.
And that XPR-7 Series that never seen the light where only for dedicated people with money.
Is it any moore people that thinks a XPA-7 Gen 2 should sell alot of units ??
I now that i will buy one if it came out to me as consumer.

And, at some time in the near future, it will resurface as an Emotiva product.

The XPR-7 is slated to come out VERY soon. There also were plans for an XPA-7, not sure what's going on with it.

I thought that XRP-7 was layed on ice for good and that Sherbourn PA 7-350 for moore money took it´s place. But now have Emotiva choose to not sale the brand Sherbourn and use the technology for the premium product line in the Emotiva brand.
So my intention for this thread was to see of moore people in this forum missing a 7 channel XPA amp in the product line.
I was to late to se the sale out of the Sherbourn PA 7-350 for a very good price.

They did say, at Emofest, that they are working on an XPA-7 but they didn't have a price or timing that they would share.

Good that Emotiva are working on stronger 7 channels Amp. XPR-7 are the first to release to the market from that information you got from Emofest and i hope that Xpa-7 also hit the market soon.
I like the Xpa-Amp series and have owned the XPA-3 and that was enough for my speakers.

Is it only my that use the Amp for Home Cinema use in first case and prefer a 7 Channel Amp ??
How many are waiting on a strong 7 channel for a good price point that XPA-7 should be.

Well, I finally registered on the forum after weeks of reading.
I would jump all over an XPA-7 withouth question. I'd love it to be in the 400 watt Range at least for a 4 ohm load. I'm runnin Martin Logan Theos, and a Stage X Center, so I'm thinking they would appreciate that. My best compromise for the time being is an XPA 5 and an XPA 2. Hoping there isn't too much of an audible difference between the mains and the center. I suppose the Audessy XT32 on my Denon X4000 would likely assist in that. However, an all in one option would allow me save a lot on shipping to Canada, and would without question be less expensive to buy as opposed to buying the 2 and 5. I'd imagine a $1299 pricepoint or so if you look at some pricing between other options.
I DID miss the Sherbourn 7-350 option, BUT did find one local in Canada for $1600 NEW, unboxed. I had worries of this hum/hiss I keep readint about so asked if he'd open and test it. He did so reluctantly, and thank god for that because it didn't hiss or humm. IT DIDN'T EVEN POWER UP!! DOA! I've read enough on them now to be put off from them which is a little odd as it is from what I've been told the smae as an XPR5 without the 2 extra channels, and WILL be the XPR 7 whenever it comes out!
All this said, I will not be purchasing until the spring and assuming another sale. This is roughly when my basement will be complete. Maybe something will come along in the meantime??

Welcome to the lounge. Many amps hiss. My 7-350 hiss can be heard at 1 foot but not at my listening position.

I mailed Emotiva and asked about stronger 7 channel amps, and they answered that they not are working on a XPA-7 & XPR-7 Amp for the moment.
They have considered of making these.

I would strongly consider a 7 channel amp from Emo. I inquired by Phone about it as well and the rep said they are focused on the XMC right now and are thinking about a 7 channel. But XMC first!

If we do get an XPA-7 it will likely be the specs of the sherbourn PA 7-150 which I think was the equivalent. The PA 7-150 gives 7X150 watts @ 8 ohms or 7X200 watts @ 4 ohms. It had either an 800 KVA power supply or a 1.2 KVA power supply (similar to an XPA-1) it's unclear which one as they were both reported. It looked like this: It sold for $1000 at the clearance price but retailed at $1500. The XPR-7 is likely going to be similar to the sherbourn PA 7-350 And it will likely cost at least $2000.
