Hi,
Just received mini-x and left channel has gone completely silent for many times. I now know that it is not a connection problem since I can duplicate the issue by turning amp off, changing signal cables and turning amp on again. Then, left channel would go silent.
If I turn the amp off and on couple of cycles, left channel usually comes back on. This is really frustrating and the amp is new.
Anyone encountered similar issue? Any idea what is going on? Thanks.

^^^ what he said
Beyond the obvious of double checking all connections and reversing various cables, one set at a time to ensure it is the mini-x and not some cables.

Greenkiwi,
I did all of the above. I even used multimeter to make sure all cables are good.
The only thing works is turn the amp on and off.
Thanks for your suggestions!

Sounds like a hardware issue, probably a bad IC. Time to: Suggest you call EMO tech support

Then I think it's off to emo support. We the "followers" aren't going to be of much use once it gets beyond fuses and cable connections.

I had a similar problem with an Mini-x. One channel went to no sound after about a month or so of use. I would call Emotiva, tell them the problem. They will probably give you an RMA number and tell you to send it in for repairs. They probably are busy now since it is close to the Holidays so it might take awhile to get fixed. Time varies over a wide range for service. I one sent in an UPA-200 and got it back in about one week. They had the mini-X for over a month.
Good luck. They will get it working for you.

Thank you so much for all of your help!
I will give support a call tomorrow. Another issue is that the amp is now in Hong Kong and I hope support can figure out a way to do the repair economically. I am expecting they may send me replacement board.
Any similar experience?
Thanks again y'all!

Update on the issue:
Installed new amp board and it worked for a while then the same issue happened to the new board. Only that, this time right channel went completely dead. I wonder whether the source of the problem is else where.
