Hi, Got and used the mini-x for nearly 2 months. I bought this because of there is someone post on using speaker amp for headphone amp. Here is the link to the thread (not sure if it allow to post link to other forum) www.head-fi.org/t/629352/he-500-lcd2-d5000-dt770-sr80-on-a-speaker-amp-emotiva-mini-x-a-100-projectSo until now I only used it for headphone and had someone built the banana plugs to female 1/4 inch TRS adapter. Its been working fine but until now all of the sudden there is static noise on the left channel but its not constant, sometime it appears and some other time it disappears. And I have tried the mini-x without any source connected and I still get this problem. So I think I narrow down the problem either: - my mini-x problem or - the adapter problem But since the problem is not constant so I'm suspecting that my mini-x has a problem. But is there anyway to make sure that the speaker output from mini-x really is the cause of the problem? because I don't have any speaker to test. I really don't like the idea of RMA because of the shipping cost. I bought this because of the price point in the first place. Thanks. rus

Contact the support and they send me new amp module but only find out that the new amp module doesn't have output on left channel speaker output. Contact the support two times about a week a go but no respond at all. Now anybody know what should I do next?

Yes. Contact Emotiva over the phone. You should get a better response. Good luck!

Hi sorry for a very late reply. Yeah, they sent me a new A-100 and it works perfectly fine up until now.

Thx for the reply. I just had my 100 repaired here in Toronto at a cost of $80. The unit is 9 months old. Not very happy with Emotiva's warranty policy. It makes it rather prohibitive for anyone residing outside of the USA to use their 5 year warranty, even though I'm a two-hour drive from the U.S. border, Emotiva will not cover any shipping. The part in question was a $1 resistor. The balance was labour. Emotiva would've shipped the part from the U.S., but not cover labour.

I had the identical problems with the A100. Finally gave up on the product. After having your problem, I decided to buy another one a few months later. This time the left speaker terminal was not attached correctly. No quality control I guess. Sent it back and went back to my old amp.
