Dolby Digital Plus in old Anthem AVM20

I have a friend who wants to stream Netflix from a Roku 3 box to his Anthem AVM20.

And, he says that Netflix is transmitting Dolby Digital PLUS, which the Anthem doesn’t decode. Also, the Anthem doesn't have an HDMI input (and from what I see, that's the only output from a Roku 3).

He wants to know if there are any options to keep his Anthem and be able to decode the DD Plus.

I've not been in that situation, so I figured I would reach out to the Lounge to help my friend.

Any ideas?

(PS - I am tempted to tell him "just buy a UMC-200")

Mark! Ive always liked your thinking.
Before I found Emo I compared Anthem top of the line then,( 700 ), and went for the Yamaha 3020 and it has everything you need and then some. It really is amazing what it can do! and then it comes out with the Sabre DAC. But thats of from what Ive heard. The Burr Brown is just fine, It gives my DC-1 a good run for the money. Big pluses for the DC-1 was that it had balanced in/out and USB.
I may have gone with the Emo pre/pro but had already dove into the Yamaha wich I have had a long and happy relationship,,,,,,,,,,but I digress,,,,,,,,
