I'm using my XPA-1 (Gen1) with a preamp that has balanced inputs.
In their manual, they state that Pin 1 is ground, pin 2 is hot (positive), and pin 3 is cold (negative).
Since they provide a switching option for pins 2 and 3, can Emotiva or anyone who's sure tell me what the XPA pinout polarity is?
Many thanks,
Bill

That (pin 1 = ground, pin 2 = hot (+), pin 3 = cold (-)) is the international standard which Emotiva complies with. It doesn't matter anyway, as long as all channels are in phase (connected the same polarity).
Cheers Gary

Thanks.
I've never subscribed to the inverted vs normal school of thinking, but wanted to double check.

It's pin 2 "hot" and pin 3 "cold". This has been standard for more than 20 years now.
