The 20-amp cord (2-meter) that came with my XPR-2 is just slightly too short to reach the wall socket. I already own a longer (3-meter) Emotiva X-Series power cord, but it has 15 ampere plugs on it. The 15 & 20 amp IEC plugs are not compatible.
I'm pretty sure that the X-Series power cord has sufficiently large wires to handle 20 amperes. I'd like to remove the 15-amp IEC plug from the amplifier end of the cord and install a 20-amp IEC (sometimes called a "HC" [high current] IEC plug. Looking on Amazon & Parts-Express, I see but two types: A cheap-looking plastic one for $32 and a fancy silver one for $100. I don't think I want the silver one, but does anyone make anything in between?
Thanks - Boomzilla

Hubble makes good quality connectors. You can pick up their 20-amp male and female IEC connectors for less than $20 each.

Bryant makes good electronic components. I have a few of their outlets with built in USB jacks. I am sure they have what you are looking for as well.
-Edit- I just followed the link to the Pangea product. That looks like the perfect solution. You won't have to hack anything apart, that alone makes it worthwhile.

I bought a few of the Pangea's for XPR-1's and they work great. Don't spend a great deal of money on cables though. My opinion...perhaps your ears are better than mine, but I have a hard time telling the difference between good and so called great power cords. However, some people swear by them.

I'm using the power cords that came with my amps, seem to be just fine. Cha Ching,,,,,,,my two cents!

Obviously too late for the OP, however for the rest of the community: First, Pangea (Audio Adviser's own brand), does not make 20 AMP power cables. I have a few of the 14SE I use to power my Martin Logan Vista and Vantage electrostatic speakers and a pair of the 9SE which I use on my pair of dual Martin Logan Descent i Subwoofers. For the money, they are a decent value and seem to work well enough for my speakers and subwoofers. However, I have since switched out all of my Pangea 14SE power cables on all my sources with the Shunyata Venom 3 cables and it made a significant improvement in my system. For my XPR 5 Amp, I swapped out the stock cord with the 20 AMP Shunyata Venom HC ( not the Venom 3) and it also made a huge improvement. I highly recommend the Shunyata Venom HC line for all the Emotiva amplifiers, they come in both 15 Amp and 20 Amp versions for same price and are a great bang for the buck. The HC line is $250 for 6ft and the Venom 3's are $150 for 6 ft. They are not the cheapest, but far from the most expensive and I feel they are much better than anything in the price range. Also, FYI Music direct sells them at a 15% discount if you buy 3 or more at at time. Try them, you won't regret it! P.S. I also recently upgraded all my HDMI cables to the Shunyata Venom HDMI and I saw just as impressive improvements in my system as their power cables.

More than 100 dollars, but to me a major improvement over stock cords.
