Electronics tech question: Blue LEDS, replace MOVs

I was going to replace the LEDs in some of my electronics with blue ones, so all my electronics would colour-lite match my EMO blue gear. But I couldn't find any blue LEDS, just lots of other colours. I suppose this is a limit of the technology? What does EMO use?

My surge protectors are about 10 years old. My understanding is that the MOVs that do the work are sacrificial, like fuses, as they protect. Would it be wise to replace all the MOVs?

mate, there is no magic to blue led's!!! they are available like most other colors. try radioshack for starters or any decent diy electronic store! just make sure you replace the existing ones with led's with the proper specs.

as for your surge protectors, i am sure sb else can answer that better. but i would guess as long as nothing is blown, they are good to go. if you are in the big soldering fever, for all means go ahead and change them
