I just finished with this DIY project for my #1 client.. When all was said and done we knew it was time to upgrade the elctronics so we chose a Marantz processor and EMOTIVA XPA3 to drive the LCR .... The sound Q and dynamics are excellent and I am now a believer in EMOTIVA amps

Nice drivers, I use 2 of the EM-428 too in each of my speakers, but combined with the Morel ST-1108 and different 9 inch woofers. Driven by an UMC-200 and PA 7-350. I guess your speaker-design could also take a few more watts - so if your client wants to upgrade, the XPR-5 would be my choice.

How did you figure out the crossovers?

I bought two XPA-3's for my home theater five channel set-up and also a new Marantz AV - 7701 Pre-Pro. I also listen to lots of CD's. I finally got away from receivers and will never look back. I will be adding the new XPR-2 soon to use for fronts and use the XPA-3's for center, and rear's and backs, in a new seven channel HT. I love Emotiva...
