Nice, I'm currently confirming my order (I placed it some days ago but "forgot" to look at it and now it's past the 5'th hope I still get the discount). Btw. this is the wrong forum, it's the 1L forum

Waiting on Balanced cables and will probably have to order NEW speaker cable since my MIT's won't work unless I can modify them. My wife tells me I am like the mad scientist from Frankenstein with these additional amps and cables...haha I am loving it!

The binding posts on the XPA's are 12" apart and the MIT's do not have that length. I am considering modifying them myself. That project won't be until Saturday....when I have some time.

Just grab a coat hanger and cut it to length (best speaker cable ever) and if you don't have a soldering iron then just cable tie the MIT's connectors to it. I can hear you laughing, stop, I've done it (more than once) and it works just fine. In fact do a back to back test when you get new speaker cables and I'll bet you can't hear a difference. I will have to contact Joan Crawford for the coat hangers. I don't think I have one Single metal coat hanger in the house since I seen "Mommy Dearest" haha. A classic seen where she freaks out b/c her daughter used metal hangers. Now I know I can modify those cables. Thanks for the tip...I think. Haha.

if they are banana plugs just use the horizontal holes when you undo the nuts far enough then nip them up like that....ive used that before and it works fine too.

Thanks but I don't know if you understand. The end of the cable that goes to the amp (positive/negative) are only five to six inches long. I need another six/ seven inches to be able to use the MIT's on the XPA's since the binding posts of the XPA's are 12 inches apart. Looking at the cable I do not believe it is difficult to do however I have not fully looked at the project. My intentions are to cut the cover of the cable back six inches and that should give me enough length.

Looking at the cable I do not believe it is difficult to do however I have not fully looked at the project. My intentions are to cut the cover of the cable back six inches and that should give me enough length. This presented a problem for me too. I have a pair of 6' Transparent Cable Music Plus speaker cable, which have spade connectors on the amp side, and don't have nearly enough cable length after the "Y" to allow connection to the amp. I ended up attaching a short length of raw 16 AWG copper cable to each of the spades and then to the amp, which worked, and sounded good but felt a bit jury-rigged. So I also purchased a pair of inexpensive 3' 12 AWG speaker cables that I'm trying in the system now, to see if I prefer that instead of the jury-rigged ones. Might be my imagination but I might have liked the first ones more. The XPA-1Ls are amazing by the way. I had a pair of UPA-1s before, and those were great too.
