You have ordered it but have not received it yet? Is that correct? After we run REW properly, I think we should list the equipment for REW as part of our gear. We will be able to see how many of us on this forum have calibrated there gear. Yours or any ones thoughts on this point??? Nick

A Humble Plea, Nick I too would love to see a more full featured tutorial on REW. There are lots of pieces available on-line, but I find may of them disjoint and hard to follow. I have successfully used REW for a couple of uses. It allow me to determine the attenuation needed for the horn section of my DIY speakers. Also with my DIY speakers, I used it to also determine the natural roll-off of the woofers in setting up the crossover point of my subs and their relative level. A very cool and complicated program that I have only scratched the surface of!

Hey nick I just stumbled across this guide its got some real good info in it, you might want to give it a read.... dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/78476446/REW%20101%20v3.3.pdfI ignored most of the cable connection stuff because I was using the optical/toslink connection from my PC to my processor. Did you ever pick up a umik 1 ? Thanks so much,,,I had the help files but not this new release. Yep, I have in my possession the cross spectrum UMIK 1,,,,,,,just haven't had time to scratch ,,,let alone read and measure and calibrate the speakers, will I need to do all 11 of them, I think 4 of them get there info from an algorithm. So I shouldn't have to mess with the front and rear heights speakers,,,,,,,,,should I? ?? did you know that it's a better measurement if you calibrate the sound card first,,,,,,,so much to learn,,,,,so little time,,,,Arggg a true Novice

I wouldn't follow this like its gospel.... But it should help you to understand the program a little more. If you can adjust the eq for all 11 speakers I would, why only do half the job ? I hope this helps you out a little as soon as I saw it I thought of you, so just passing it on.
Regards from another novice... Ivor
