I was listening to an absolute train wreck of a song this morning. Queen- "Another One Bites the Dust" (with additional vocals from Wyclef Jean).
It is from the 3rd CD of the Platinum Collection...
Just a train wreck... Any other examples you want to share??
(It was so bad I put on Dark Side of the Moon on Vinyl to recover..)

How about Pat Boone doing Crazy Train? It's so bad that they play it on XM's comedy channel.

Not exactly a cover, but Eminem samples Billy Squire's "The Stroke" in his song called "Berzerk". Lots of people like it, but I can't stand it.

Another William Shatner vote, but this time for Rocket Man.
What Britney Spears did to I Love Rock N' Roll was inexcusable, but even that wasn't a patch on how badly Sheryl Crow murdered Sweet Child o' Mine. There should be a law against that!

This song was kind of trash at the time. But a well loved one. The song Lambada was wrecked by J Lopez - On the floor.
Now for real maximum cringe worthiness Poor Mr Belafonte's Banana boat song.....I almost cried.
