Oh, I don't know how it stacks up against a Bryston or Parasound, but it was the final piece of my own Personal Audio Puzzle. My Maggies finally sing. I've put in more hours of listening over the past two weeks than I did in the previous six months. I love the danged thing. Thought about an XPA-2 but didn't want to deal with 80lbs of amplifier.

Emo amps ARE surprising things, yes? I've yet to meet one I didn't find something to like about!

Yes, congrats on your purchase. I am certainly enjoying my XPA-200 as well. When I first got it, I set it up to power my back surrounds but I decided to try it my front speakers with my XPA-5 powering the other 5 speakers. I was pleasantly surprised with how well the XPA-200 with the fronts. The sound is great for 2channel and MC music. I may just leave it in this configuration for now.

Congrats on the new amp. Maggies love good clean power, and the XPA-200 will certainly do the trick. They are pushing 240 watts (BOTH channels driven) into 4 ohms. I can imagine that it sounds excellent!
